Research and Researchers in the time of COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic took the world by storm, and changed the way we live, work and collaborate. From labs to publishing, it changed the way research and researchers work. In this webinar, Founding Director John Sack outlines findings from 25 ethnographic interviews conducted by a Stanford University researcher on the challenges faced by researchers, changes in the publishing industry, and adjusting to  the new normal. The webinar also features the recommendations and observations made by the researchers interviewed – including a subset who participate in a live panel discussion.

The panel discussion features publisher-side discussants Richard Sever (Co-founder of BioRvix and MedRvix, Cold Spring Harbor Labs), Michelle Phillips (Open Research Product Manager, British Medical Journal), and Claire Moulton (Publisher, Company of Biologists).
