Identity in Research Infrastructure

The theme of Peer Review Week 2021 is Identity in Peer Review. Naturally, as enthusiasts and annual contributors to Peer Review Week dialog, we set about planning.

Identity plays a critical role in research infrastructure and it is a multi faceted subject. In this webinar, SVP of Product Management Tony Alves sets the scene, discussing ‘what is identity?’ and prompts attendees to think about why and how measures of identity curate and enhance our experiences on the web at large, as well as on the scholarly web.

Delta Think’s Director of Community Engagement and Senior Consultant Heather Staines then focuses in on Identity as it relates to access and entitlements. How does institutional affiliation inform and enable these experiences on the scholarly web? Through sharing about Get FTR and Seamless Access, as well as participating in a lively and robust Q and A session, Heather and Tony make a substantial contribution to the week’s celebration and discussion, taking the matter from how Identity can, should, or does show up within peer review, to how does it figure within the context of access to peer reviewed literature.

Please enjoy the session, and do let us know if you have any questions, comments, or would like to see a demonstration of Sigma, our own Identity Management solution.
