Life Science Alliance Renews Hosting with HighWire

LOS GATOS, SEPT 17th, 2020 – Scholarly publishing technology provider, HighWire, is delighted to announce that the Life Science Alliance (LSA) has chosen to renew its hosting agreement with HighWire until 2024.

Following HighWire’s acquisition by MPS Ltd, LSA’s board of managers carried out an appraisal of the current competitive landscape and opted to remain with HighWire and build upon the existing successful partnership into the future.

LSA is a global open-access journal founded by an alliance of EMBO Press, Rockefeller University Press, and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press. The three distinguished publishing houses partnered to launch LSA in 2018 in order to empower authors to publish new research more efficiently.

Manuscripts can be submitted to Life Science Alliance directly or by seamless transfer without reformatting from nine partner journals: The EMBO Journal, EMBO reports, Molecular Systems Biology, EMBO Molecular Medicine, Journal of Cell Biology, Journal of Experimental Medicine, Journal of General Physiology, Genes & Development, and Genome Research.

“LSA was successfully launched on the HighWire platform in 2018,” said Susan King, Executive Director of Rockefeller University Press and chair of the Life Science Alliance LLC Board, “The LSA LLC Managers are pleased to continue our successful partnership further to the acquisition of HighWire by MPS, in this year that HighWire celebrates its 25th anniversary, MPS its 50th, and LSA its 3rd.”
