HighWire Press, the provider of industry-leading publishing solutions to the scholarly community, is pleased to announce it has been selected to host the International Society of Arboriculture’s flagship journal, Arboriculture & Urban Forestry.
Arboriculture & Urban Forestry (AUF) has been in publication since 1975, previously as the Journal of Arboriculture, and is ISA’s main outlet for disseminating new and original research findings about the care and management of trees in and around urban environments. Recently, the bimonthly journal shifted to an Open Access model in order to better support ISA’s mission of promoting the professional practice of arboriculture and urban forestry worldwide.
Arboriculture & Urban Forestry will be hosted on HighWire’s reliable, intuitive journal-hosting solution, providing powerful content ingestion, enrichment, and publishing infrastructure. HighWire’s platform is designed to provide a user-centric experience through a mix of custom theming options and self-operable tools, thereby delivering a highly personalized experience to its users.
“ISA is excited to announce our partnership with HighWire. The many features of the JCore platform will raise the profile of Aboriculture & Urban Forestry and advance ISA’s role in bringing industry-leading, peer-reviewed research to tree care professionals and researchers worldwide,” commented Caitlyn Pollihan, CEO and Executive Director of ISA.
“We’re delighted to welcome ISA to HighWire.” said Tony Alves, SVP of Product Management at HighWire Press. “Our journal hosting solution is fast and dependable, with tools that help increase discoverability and communication with readers. This will allow ISA to strengthen the impact of their content. We look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with the ISA.”
