CSE Annual Meeting

At the 2024 CSE Annual Meeting, our SVP of Product Management, Tony Alves, moderated two insightful sessions (i) Research Integrity and (ii) AI .

In this panel, three publishers that have been piloting a Duplicate Submission Checker tool talked about their experiences with this tool and the editorial policies that need to accompany such solutions. They also discussed about sharing submitted and rejected material more in general as a method to uphold research integrity.

Panelists from across scholarly publishing, including a journal editor, a research librarian, a society publisher, and an industry consultant, attempted to answer these questions as well as engaged the audience in policy issues around AI, challenges with locating policy guidance, and creating policies, examples of good and bad policies, acceptable use of AI, and good uses of AI.
