Venue: Charleston, SC
We are thrilled to attend this year’s Charleston Conference in South Carolina! As a premier event, the Charleston Conference brings together librarians, publishers, solutions providers, and consultants to discuss critical industry topics. This year, one of the key questions is: “Can librarians and vendors create a mutually satisfying environment where libraries can afford to buy the materials they need, and vendors can still maintain a healthy profit?”
At HighWire, we are committed to fostering such an environment through our analytics products, ScholarlyStats and Insight Vizor. ScholarlyStats enables librarians to analyze the most and least popular content among their users and identify content with zero usage. This not only provides opportunities for troubleshooting but also allows librarians to calculate and track the cost per use for each subscription, aiding in renegotiating existing subscriptions with publishers.
In addition to our work with librarians, we also collaborate with publishers through Insight Vizor. Insight Vizor is a platform-independent analytics tool designed for publishers and content aggregators. It helps them understand the reach of their scholarly content, enabling informed decisions about promoting and disseminating content. With Insight Vizor, publishers can transform their raw, unprocessed data into meaningful insights about their customers and titles.
Representing HighWire at Charleston will be our Senior Account Director, Meg Waites. With over 25 years of experience in the scholarly publishing industry, Meg excels at finding creative solutions. She is always eager to discuss Open Access, AI and ML, or any trending industry topics!
